Lets Learn About Wine

INTRODUCTION TO WINE

R495 per person - Next Course Starts 7 February 2022

This course is designed as an introduction to wine. To lay a foundation on which to build your wine knowledge, find out why you enjoy certain wines and styles and ask the questions you have always wanted to.

Topics to be covered will be:

  • Vine Growing

  • Wine Making

  • Grape Varieties

  • Styles and Blends

  • Basic Food and Wine Pairing

  • And much more.

The Course is a public one hosted via Zoom in 3 x 60 minute sessions on Monday evenings at 20:30 SAST.

The Course does also come with a optional mixed case (6 Bottles) of red, white and sparkling wines, which is an extra R1150, including delivery in South Africa. The case does vary for each course, so please let us know if you are interested and we can let you know what treats are in there!

We do also offer this course privately, so contact us should you wish to do it with your family, friends or colleagues at a time that suits you.

GRAPES!!

R495 per person - Next course starts on 7 February 2022

Ever wondered where all those different flavors found in wine come from? Well, most come from the grapes themselves and understanding the differences in the different grape varieties can go a long way to choosing more wines you will enjoy more often.

In this course we will discuss 18 grape varieties, highlighting their:

  • Histories

  • Characteristics and personalities

  • Common styles of wine they are used in

  • Where the best examples come from

  • Food Pairing examples

  • And More  

The course comes with an optional mixed case of wine, highlighting some less common grape varieties grown in South Africa that produce exceptional wines.

The case costs an extra R1275 (6 bottles + delivery in SA).

The course is a public one, hosted on Zoom at 19:00 on Monday evenings for 3 weeks.

SOUTH AFRICA UNCORKED

R650 per person - Next Course Starts: TBC

This course is all about unpacking South Africas famous growing areas and highlighting the wonderful wines we produce from them. The course focusses on Constantia, Elgin, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl, Swartland, Robertson and Walker Bay, learning about each regions:

  • History

  • Climate, Soils and Topography

  • Vineyards and Wineries

  • Styles and Varieties to look out for.

There are 4 x 60 minute public Zoom sessions on this course hosted on Wednesday evenings at 20:00 SAST, with specific wine tasted in each sessions. Contact us in advance to make find out exact dates and which wines we will be tasting on it so you can stock up.
